Fifth grade Field Day and Culmination

The day our 5th Graders have been looking forward to since they first came to this school is almost here! Field Day is a game of fun, beginning with the traditional 5th Graders vs. Teachers softball game, then following with lunch and munchies, music, fun, and a surprise entertainment at the end of the day. We’ll need lots of help from our fifth grade parents though. Following are links to sign up for a slot on Volunteer Spot, with descriptions of jobs we need to fill.

We also could use help with the fantastic decor that parent Angelica Swissa generously provides each year for Culmination. We need volunteers to help with prep work on the AFTERNOON BEFORE the ceremony, as well as early the next day. So there are two dates: one for prep work on May 5 and one for set-up on the day of the event.

Outdoor Movie Night coming up!

Finish out the school year at Outdoor Movie Night, where the PTA will present “Wreck it Ralph” on the grassy quad on Friday night May 31. Bring beach chairs and blankets and enjoy dinner and movie under the stars. Doors open at 6:30 for dinner—we'll have a taco cart selling tacos and hot dogs. The Italian Ice Truck will be there and popcorn and candy will be sold as well. The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. Pre-order movie tickets and dinner to avoid the lines that night. Depending on when you turn your money in, you'll either receive your advance purchase tickets for movie and food via your students' backpacks or they’ll be available at Will Call on the night of the movie.
